We love making our home all pretty and stylish, but only have so much money budgeted towards interior design. That’s why we were thrilled when Marie Claire Paris decided to bring their line of attractive and affordable home wares to North America – well, Canada actually. Choose from stunning bed linens, soft and luxurious towels, coordinating dinnerware and drinkware - really anything to make a house into a gorgeous home. The best part is that everything is available at very reasonable prices. We were particularly taken with the tea and coffee collection. Each piece oozes contemporary French sophistication.
Create a little magic in each room of your home.

No girl should wait until she’s married to have lovely china tableware, especially when J. Chew Porcelain tableware is now available.
Designer Jaimie Chew, influenced by her Malaysian homeland, time spent in China and France and her current NYC residence, has designed memorable graphic patterns and placed them in glorious shades of red, green, blue, brown, pink and lavender on French Limoges porcelain. Each plate, cup and saucer is handcrafted, with all designs applied by hand. Each of the five patterns features a dinner plate, salad plate, bread and butter plate, teacup and saucer or you can purchase a five place setting. From the traditional Arabesque pattern, available in earthy Arabian Spice, red Hibiscus or Bluemarine, the bold floral and circular Lotus Pavillion pattern in turquoise or tangerine, to the playful Shangrila pattern with a butterfly, lotus flowers, fish or toad in apple green or ecru, Chew’s designs incorporate influences from India, Arab and Egyptian cultures.
J. Chew Porcelain encourages us girls to have a swish dinner party, even if our version of cooking entails calling our fave take out dining establishment.

With colour and pattern invading our wardrobes, why not take a leap with our tabletop settings? We blame Food Network TV for making us think white tableware is the only option. Since we’ve become foodie-obsessed, we take the word from Chef and only have white plates, bowls and mugs. Food does look lovely on white dishes, but why not have a little fun too? Eating is about having a good time and a little pizzazz will make your guests take notice.
CB2, the young hip cousin to Crate & Barrel, takes a step from plain white dishes with its Bubbles dining pieces. With its classic white background, the shades of grey and olive bubbles and circles pop a 1950s Danish taste on to the modern shape. Crafted in porcelain and dipped in white glaze, this exclusive to CB2 pieces are durable and oven, microwave and dishwasher safe. Available in 10 inch dinner plate, 8 inch salad plate and 5.5 inch diameter bowl, these pieces would mix in well with the white restaurant serving and dining pieces lurking in your cupboard and make a nice backdrop for your summer bbq offerings.
