How to vacation like a celebrity in West Hollywood

Vacation Like a celebrity on West Hollywood
Founded in 1984, West Hollywood—or ‘WeHo’ as it’s affectionately known—is a mere 5-square-kilometers and Los Angeles’ hottest destination with its boutique hotels, celebrity-owned restaurants, unparalleled nightlife and shopping, and world-renowned events. Those glamour-seeking travellers wishing to experience the quintessential L.A. lifestyle will definitely find it in West Hollywood—it’s a regular playground for the stars.

Looking for luxurious VIP-worthy accomodations to call home during your getaway? The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills is one of the world’s most fashionable hotels, and absolutely awe-inspiring.

Originally the Wyndham Bel Age Hotel (where Dylan McKay of Beverly Hills 90210 resided in the early days!), after a multi-million dollar renovation, the notable property re-opened in 2008 as the sumptuous all-suite London West Hollywood.

Choose from 226 glamorous (and very spacious) suites, each elegantly appointed—by the renowned David Collins Studio—in soothing muted hues accented with luxe finishes like bleached oak, shiny chrome, and embossed white leather, as well as GORGEOUS spa-like bathrooms with C.O. Bigelow bath and body pampering goodies. And the hotel’s rooftop pool lounge, with spectacular views of the iconic L.A. skyline, is the perfect place to chill and sip refreshing cocktails after a day of sightseeing and shopping.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so start it off right at the Breakfast Table at Boxwood Cafe with a scrumptious buffet spread of fresh local fruit, parfaits, sweet and savory pastries, cereals, artisan breads, cheese and charcuterie–the freshly-pressed juices are excellent!

Next, star spot at Gracias Madre on Melrose Avenue, where even meatatarians line-up for a plate of their delicious organic, plant-based Mexican cuisine. When we dined here, we missed Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth by minutes!.

Spearheaded by Executive Chef Chandra Gilbert and inspired by the kitchens of Mexico, this celebrated restaurant serves such flavourful dishes, you’ll not miss the meat. Try the grilled mushroom tacos or the tempeh chorizo torta, paired with a refreshing house Margarita.

We loved the mouth-wateringly delicious food and hip vibe at E.P. & L.P (music terms: extended play and long play), located along the iconic culinary corridor of Melrose Avenue and North La Cienega Boulevard.

Brainchild of Australian restaurateur duo Grant Smillie and David Combes, this West Hollywood hotspot opened in the spring of 2015. Here your palate will sing with every Southeast Asian-inspired bite, prepared under the watchful eye of Executive Chef (and fellow Aussie) Louis Tikaram. Finish off the evening with a unique handcrafted cocktail on the lushly landscaped 5,500-square-foot L.P. rooftop deck.
