As you know, we love brunch. Well, we’ve found another gem for you to satisfy your brunch craving: La Brasserie in Vancouver’s West End district.

La Brasserie Located on Davie Street, the cozy 35-seat bistro serves up delicious Franco-German cuisine, prepared with high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients. And you need to try it.

Their brunch service was recently re-launched in May—having not been offered since the summer of 2014—and runs Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. For those original La Brasserie brunch devotees, you’ll be happy to hear that the new menu offers similar fan favourites, with a few adjustments to each dish.

Choose from a delightful selection of hearty items, like the AH-MAY-ZING chicken mornay crêpes, which include pulled rotisserie chicken, mushrooms, mornay sauce and oodles of Gruyère (definitely our fave dish!) or the breakfast poutine which takes a twist on the classic Canadian favourite and includes the standard fries, gravy and cheese curds with the addition of bacon, a poached egg and hollandaise to complete it as a breakfast dish.

Another popular choice, although less traditional, is the Brasserie burger, which includes ground hanger steak, white cheddar, bacon, crispy onions, truffled aioli and a side of frites – YUM! And for those with a sweet tooth, we recommend you dive into a plate of French toast. Ours was topped with tangy rhubarb compote, juicy fresh strawberries, and scads of fluffy whipped cream. One thing is for sure, you won’t go away hungry!
