We’ve got the 411 on how to perfect the top knot with these easy step-by-step instructions from celebrated stylist, Antonio Prieto.

Top Knot
Step 1. Spray dry shampoo, or texturizing spray at your roots to create volume and grip, massage through your scalp.

Step 2 Pull your hair up into a high ponytail

Step 3. Take your elastic band and pull your hair halfway through.

Step 4. Twist the bun and pull the tail of the pony tail around toward the front of your head.

Step 5. Tuck in any loose ends and flyaways, secure with a bobby pin and a touch of hair spray.

Step 6. Gently pull out a few sections around your face to create a tousled, whimsical look.
