Vacation Pedicure at CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La

I’m off on a trip to paradise. Literally.

My bags are packed and I’m flying out today to … French Polynesia!  I’ll be spending three nights on the “romantic island” of Bora Bora and two nights on the “magical island” of Moorea. I am super-excited.

Of course, when you’re going on a trip like this, there is quite a bit of pre-travel preening to do: nails to be polished; hair to be cut; other hair to be removed; perhaps a facial. Travelling is hard work.

I definitely wanted to get a pedi — with a fabulous Polynesian-inspired shade — so I grabbed my latest WaySpa gift card and made an appointment for a CHI Deluxe Pedicure at the luxurious CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La in Vancouver.

I’ve been to the Shangri-La’s spa before — I had an amazing facial last fall. My experience was such a good one, that I’ve been looking forward to returning. And I was thrilled to see that the this spa is a WaySpa partner and accepts WaySpa gift cards.

The CHI Deluxe Pedicure takes place in a stunning private mani/pedi room that boasts of an extremely comfortable chair  — the kind that you could easily fall asleep in. With a blanket across my lap to make me all toasty warm, and a glass of delicious sparkling cherry yuzu in my hand (I was offered sparkling wine, but at 11:00 a.m., it seemed just a tad too early to be diving into the bubbly), I drifted off into a serene pampering state, while my skilled aesthetician worked her magic.

In addition to getting your feet and toes nails beautified, you can expect a stimulating foot and leg exfoliation with celebrity fave, Kai body polish (combines exfoliating salt and hydrating sugar with jojoba oil and grape seed extract); a super-hydrating lavender-infused paraffin treatment; and a soothing foot and leg massage with Kai body lotion (contains safflower seed oil, shea butter, vitamins a, c, and e, with extracts of comfrey, cucumber and ivy).

CHI, The Spa at the Shangri-La used OPI polish to add colour to fingers and toes. I chose LIVE.LOVE.CARNAVAL. Pretty, right?

After my service ended, I was such a ball of mush, that I found it hard to walk to meet the hubster, who kindly picked me up! And I liked it!

If you are looking for more than just a regular pedicure, then I would definitely recommend trying the CHI Deluxe Pedicure at the Shangri-La. It’s a great treat, you’re feet will look gorgeous, and you’ll feel amazing when you leave.
