There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Disneyland (and Disney World) is the happiest place on the planet! And I think over 700 million happy park visitors would also agree with me. At the ripe old age of 43, I still get excited when I plan a trip to a Disney theme park.

The uber-imaginative Walt Disney opened Disneyland on July 17, 1955, and in 2015 it will be celebrating its astounding 60-year anniversary! Sadly, I haven’t visited this California fun haven since I was about 8, but I think I’m going to have to book a trip next year.

“It’s an incredible time at the Disneyland Resort as we prepare for next year’s Diamond Celebration,” said Michael Colglazier, president, Disneyland Resort.  “We’re excited to honor our rich history, to celebrate the incredible magic that fills our resort today, and to create unforgettable memories with our guests for many years to come.”

Beginning next spring, I’ve been told that the resort will launch a dazzling yearlong Diamond Celebration that salutes 60 years of magic. I will  keep you informed of what amazing festivities will be happening in 2015!

Will you be traveling to Disneyland next year to celebrate 60 amazing years?
