Shower Buddies

I enjoy a refreshing shower. I’m not really a bath kinda gal. As I try loads of different products, I thought that I would start a new monthly piece on the site called Shower Buddies, showcasing the products I use to get myself all fresh ‘n’ ready for the day.

Here are my April Shower Buddies…

Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser, $8.99
I test out A LOT of skincare products. Most I think are, meh. This one, I would purchase when I run out of my sample. This inexpensive drugstore product is perfect for that person with sensitive skin. It is soap and dye-free and is formulated with a hypoallergenic fragrance that is free of known skin allergens and irritating essential oils. And I really like that is rinses off completely. Other sensitive skin cleansers that I have tried feel like they leave a firm on my skin.

Clarisonic Mia 2, $175
Oprah is a fan of Clarisonic, and if Oprah likes it, I had to have it!
My Clarisonic effectively (and gently) removes six times more makeup than manual cleansing. I honestly felt and saw a difference in my skin in only a few days – my skin was clearer, smoother and softer.I personally don’t use my Clarisonic every day, due to my sensitive skin and propensity for redness, but you can.

Olay Ultra Moisture Body Wash, $4.99
I LOVE this body wash, and this is my 3rd bottle since I recieved a sample from P&G.
I appreciate that this body wash contains a soap-free formula and Olay moisturizers that keep my skin soft and hydrated for up to 24 hours.

Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner, $5.68 – $8.49
I have, for whatever reason, an incredibly sensitive scalp. After a short time using most shampoos/conditioners, I find that my scalp starts to get sore, weird, right? I have not been able to figure out what it is that is causing this challenge, but Clear doesn’t seem to have that effect on me.
Perhaps it’s the Nutrium 10 advanced moisture complex of vitamins and nutrients including vitamins B5, C & E, sunflower, almond, soybean and coconut oils and aloe vera that my scalp likes so much.

Gillette Venus Embrace, $17.49*
I have been, and will always be, a Venus user. I just find that their razors help me to get rid of every single hair, without shredding my legs. And that is important.
The Venus Embrace combines the advanced shaving technology of five blades (yes, five!) surrounded by a Protective Ribbon of Moisture for a smooth glide. And I like it. That is all.
(please note that the Embrace cartridge is on a Venus ProSkin handle – I’ve just moved and couldn’t find the handle :))
*includes the refillable razor, two cartridges, and ShowerPod

What are you using in your shower this month?
