Get Your Glow On With These 2 Skincare Products

I was asked recently to be part of a secret project, one that will require me to be filmed. The first thing that I thought was, “OMG, my skin looks TERRIBLE!” So vain, I know!

Due to the lovely (not!) weather in Vancouver, my skin is looking duller than a brown paper bag. Yup, pretty dull and lifeless. It could also be ’cause I’m super-old, but let’s just blame Vancouver. So, I need to get my glow on ASAP–filming is in three days…eek, and no time for a professional facial.

No problemo. I’ve found two products that take skin from blah to wow overnight. SERIOUSLY.

#1: Serious Skin Detailer, $69.95

Serious Skin Detailer

Yup, that’s what it is called. I was sent this by The Shopping Channel and held off trying it for ages because I have very reactive skin and didn’t want to look like a tomato–this has happened using other at-home peels. This 3-step kit brightens the skin and makes it feel so smooth. And the entire treatment takes less than 15 minutes–perfect to do in the evening before bed.
I have used this product twice now: last time was yesterday evening, and I am very pleased with the results and my skin has not freaked out, in fact it seems to be purring. 🙂
Note: This is on sale at the moment for only $19.77. Not sure if they are clearing it out, so now would be a great time to buy.

#2: Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask, $36

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask

After ‘detailing’ my skin last night, I applied an even layer of this ooey gooey and delicious moisture mask from Clinique. At first, you might think that it’s not going to soak into your skin and your pillow will get mucky. Not at all. I promise that it will penetrate pretty quickly, and you’ll wake up with soft,  plump and supple skin. And it’s not just  for peeps with dry skin: it’s oil-free and great for all skin types that need a little oomph in hydration.

On Wednesday night, I’m going to slap on a layer of this before bed in preparation for my early morning call time. Cross fingers I wake up looking 25!

Have you tried either of these products? Will you give them a go?
