Jugo Juice: Healthy Decadence for People On-The-Go

When we’re on-the-go, running from event to event, we forget to think about eating. And when we do suddenly realize we’re hungry, it’s UGLY. Who knows what naughtiness will be devoured.

That was until we found out about Jugo Juice. Their smoothies keep us chugging along, and they are also a great way for us to get our recommended daily fruit servings (which we seem to have a problem doing otherwise). Andrea Holwegner, Registered Dietician and founder and president of Health Stand Nutrition Consulting Inc., and Jugo Juice nutritional consultant says that many of the Jugo Juice smoothies have five servings of fruits in each cup – you gotta love that! And just to let you know, Canada’s Food Guide recommends that us ladies (age 19-50) consume seven to eight vegetable and fruit servings daily.

These days we are quite organized; we map out our meetings and check to see where the closest location is, so that we can pick up a smoothie. And with nine Toronto locations, it’s always easy for us to find one. (Check out other locations in Canada)

Jugo Juice is launching a new menu this summer containing eight new mouthwatering smoothie flavours (and 13 smoothies in the snackin’ size): Tropical Popeye, Can’t Beet This, Paradise C, Chai Berry, Banana Berry, Caramel Buzz, and Creamy Dreamy Orange. All of their smoothies are absolutely delicious, but you’ve GOT TO TRY the PB & Chocolate. They have paired all natural peanut butter (no preservatives, no added sugar or salt), bananas, low-fat frozen yogurt, and chocolate almond beverage into a creamy, dreamy smoothie that tastes as decadent as it is nutritious. It’s pretty much guilt-free, ladies! Can you say YUM?

And if you’re really keeping a watchful eye on your caloric intake, for less than 200 calories, you can enjoy numerous blends such as Copa Banana, Blushing Mango and Pineapple Powerzone.

Give them a try and let us know what you think!
