Backstage Beauty: How to wear purple eyeshadow

By Lesley Ellen Mirza

Purple. Such a fun colour. And perfect for spring, no?

The other week we shared our love for these five gorgeous purple nail polishes and today we’re talking about purple shadow–as seen at Victoria Beckham’s Spring 2011 show.

This vibrant beauty look was created by the amazing Charlotte Tilbury, using Lancôme products. Tilbury drew inspiration from Andy Warhol’s colourful portraits of Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor. Yup, we can totally see that.

Here is how you can create this look:

1. Layer Lancôme Color Design Eye Shadow in Trendy and Drama, applying from lashline to brow.

2. Line the entire upper lashline with Lancôme  Artliner in Noir, complete with a “flick” at each end.

3. Line the lower lashline with Lancôme Crayon Khôl in Black Ebony.

4. Apply  a couple of coats of Lancôme Hypnôse Custom Volume Mascara in Black to top and bottom lashes.

So, what do you think about this bold eye? Will you try it?

We want to know!
