Lipstick Lit: Sleeping Naked Is Green

sleeping-nakedWould you be able to air dry all of your laundry, learn shorthand to reduce paper waste or forgo take-out for the sake of green living? Vanessa Farquharson, author and journalist for the National Post in Toronto, did just that on her yearlong quest to lessen her ecological footprint. She tackled one new green change every day for an entire year - a leap year.

The transition from an “eco-cynic” to a hardcore environmentalist wasn’t always easy for Farquharson, but she completed her challenge with grace and humour, and an indoor compost bin in her seven-hundred-square-foot apartment. Her changes ranged from easy to incredibly difficult and inspired us to take a more green approach to living.

There is so much more you can do than bringing reusable bags to the grocery store, but that’s a good start!
