Teatro Verde’s new residence at 100 Yorkville Avenue is a unique mix of global gems housed in a renovated Georgian mansion, a former hospital and nursing home that had been left to its squalor for many years. Owners Shawn Gibson and Michael Pellegrino embarked on 27 buying trips in the past year to bring customers unique items from around the globe, inspiring shoppers with their elegant, tactile and kooky decorative selections.
Two storeys offer an eclectic grouping of gift, home, design, beauty and décor items from the prettiest paper to wrap a gift to exquisite furniture that will become a statement piece in your home. Teatro Verde offers up many favourites that shoppers will know from their previous Hazelton Lanes boutique, Bayview Village location or their website.
Beauty lovers will rejoice with the expanded section of Fresh, India Hicks Island Living, Urban Ritual and Crabtree & Evelyn products, while bibliophiles will be overjoyed with eye-catching titles from Rizzoli and Taschen and access to the first Assouline boutique in Canada. Décor enthusiasts will appreciate the mix of linen, velvet and leather furniture items, antique mirrors, Asian objet and oversized glass and ceramic vases, perfect for a unique arrangement designed by Teatro Verde.
Not to miss faves include V&A print gardening accessories, stationery sets from Elum, kitchen items from Bella Cucina, Mumma Bubba Organics for kids, pet accessories from Harry Barker and unique gift items. Gibson and Pellegrino’s beautiful displays will inspire spending – and their friendly staff is happy to make suggestions, whether you’re spending $5 or $5000.
