Show Stopping

Winter has its ups – beautiful snowfalls, downhill skiing and hot chocolate – and its downs – lack of sun, limited activities and harsh weather. But, we are making the most of this season by indulging in a little culture – in the form of contemporary photography.

O’Born Contemporary’s new exhibit, #5 Peep Show, is an exciting collection featuring the work of Finn O’Hara, Leanne Eisen and Camilla Holmgren.

Finn O’Hara’s images were created during the final hours of the now demolished Hillcrest Motel. Leanne Eisen has built and documented the interior of a dollhouse made for adult pleasures. And, Camilla Holmgren’s self-portraits delight and intrigue the intrepid viewer.

This is one sure-fire way to add sizzle to your February.

The show runs from February 4th to March 13th, at the commercial gallery in Toronto (710 Yonge Street, upstairs). There will be a Valentine’s Day reception from 1 to 4 p.m. on February 14th.

This art will give you something to talk about.
