No more drip, drip, drip

Clear 2O water pitcherWe’re all trying to do the best for our bodies by drinking more water. Isn’t it annoying when you have to wait for your water to filter? Drip, drip, drip, you patiently wait but soon your thirst takes over. You decide to jump ahead and then end up pouring water all over your counter.

Clear2O solves this problem – with a hose that tucks into the handles and connects to your faucet - filling up in less than 40 seconds, as the water pressure forces water quickly through the carbon block filter. It eliminates 43 more contaminants than its competitors including cadmium, lead, asbestos and mercury. Clear2O holds the equivalent of nine eight ounce glasses, compared to other water pitchers which average six glasses. Its easy to know when the filter needs replacing - a flow meter on the lid gives you the go ahead with green, a warning with yellow and turns red when you need to replace the filter. And even better – the filter is recyclable.

Built NY Two BottleRed or white? Sometimes it’s just too difficult to choose. Sometimes you want both and that’s why we’re crushing on Built NY’s Two Bottle Tote, now you don’t have to choose. Perfect for picnics, these neoprene - think wetsuit material - totes snugly fit your bottled bevies so they’ll stay hot or cold for up to four hours. Clink-proof, to prevent breakage, the two bottle tote stretches to hold and insulate two 750ml or 1-liter bottles.

Available in a variety of patterns and colours - we love the Soho Stripe in rust - these lightweight, versatile totes are stylish and durable, did we mention machine-washable and the soft-grip handle makes transporting a cinch.

Who doesn’t love a picnic in the park!

Wii FitWhat are your excuses for not exercising? Do lack of sleep, lack of energy or bad weather sound familiar?

Nintendo is changing the way we view fitness by introducing us to Wii Fit. It combines fitness and fun. All you need are a Wii, a TV and the special Wii Balanced Board - a precisely engineered board that senses both weight and shifts in movement and balance.

There are four training modes that target the body’s core: yoga, balance games, strength training and aerobics. And from there you can take part in 40 fun and physical activities.

Wii Fit begins by analyzing your fitness level via your body mass index and then tracks your progress, each time you partake in Wii exercise. You can set goals, check your Wii Fit Age and even make a little virtual person that looks like you.

We had great fun bouncing a virtual soccer ball off our head and pretending we were an Olympic ski jumper. What will you try - virtual snowboarding, twirling a virtual hula hoop or taking part in a virtual step aerobics class?

NYC Taxi CabWe love New York City. And no matter if it’s for 24 hours or for a week (heavenly!) jump in and don’t expect to get any sleep!

GETTING AROUND
NYC is definitely a walking city, but don’t hesitate to take transit – its affordable, clean and safe, and when the taxis disappear from 4-6pm, it’s the best option to get downtown.

SLEEP

The Gramercy Park Hotel is old-style NYC mixed with modern flourishes in a boutique hotel. W Hotel Midtown is a sleek bargain for a great locale mid-Manhattan. For budget conscious, subscribe to Quikbook for its weekly hotel deals newsletter.
